Dear Donor Patron,
Bahumukhi Kalakaar Sangam (BKS) is an initiative that aims to protect the rights and welfare of artists and technicians. Our mission is to create a supportive ecosystem for individuals within the realms of TV, cinema, theatre, and various art forms, including digital, folk, and fine arts.
Our commitment lies in safeguarding the welfare of our members by providing them with assistance and upholding their professional and workplace dignity and rights.
At BKS, we recognise the enormous contributions artists make to our cultural landscape. Unfortunately, many artists face significant challenges such as financial instability and limited access to:
- Opportunities,
- Healthcare,
- An organized working sector,
- Better working conditions and
- Retirement provisions.
Our initiative aims to address these issues by providing a platform where artists can find support, community, and resources tailored to their specific needs.
We advocate for improved and more equitable labour conditions for all individuals within the artistic & entertainment industries, regardless of their background or role. We hold the belief that employment in the cultural sector can offer enjoyment, significance, social utility, and personal fulfilment.
We offer guidance on work-related concerns and entitlements for artists and technicians, as well as legal advocacy and collective insurance.
We amplify the voices of artists, technicians, and workers in the culture and entertainment industry, thereby influencing governments and industry decisions that significantly affect their lives.
Our membership program grants artists access to a range of benefits, including:
- Collective work opportunity broadcast system
- Artist Promotion Talent Bank
- Commissioning for various art projects
- Organising and facilitating workshops, master classes, festivals, and productions.
- Ecommerce portal for artists
- Access to grants and funding for creative projects and initiatives.
- Legal aid and support
- Healthcare benefits
- Old age pension.
- Professional development and networking
- Resource Centre
However, to achieve this vision, we need your support. We seek financial contributions and donations to help us provide these essential services and expand our reach to more artists across the country.
Your support can make a significant difference in the lives of countless artists and technicians. With your help, we can work toward a fairer, more just system that recognises and uplifts the creative community.
