Bahumukhi Kalakaar Sangam (BKS) is an initiative that aims to protect the rights and welfare of artists and technicians. Our mission is to create a supportive ecosystem for individuals within the realms of TV, cinema, theatre, and various art forms, including digital, folk, and fine arts.

Yet, too many of our artists and technicians struggle with little financial security, no health cover, limited opportunities, or retirement support.
Bahumukhi Kalakaar Sangam (BKS) is India’s only cross-disciplinary collective uniting artists and technicians from TV, cinema, theatre, folk, fine arts, digital, and more. We’re certified (12A, 80G, CSR, and NGO Darpan) and dedicated to empowering creative lives.
Our commitment lies in safeguarding the welfare of our members by providing them with assistance and upholding their professional and workplace dignity and rights.
At BKS, we recognise the enormous contributions artists make to our cultural landscape. Unfortunately, many artists face significant challenges such as financial instability and limited access to:

How Your Support Enables Our Work:
At BKS, we are actively building an artist support ecosystem:
- Launching a dedicated web portal that provides artist profiles, networking, work opportunities, and e-commerce to sell their art
- Run a membership programme that offers health insurance, pension benefits, legal aid, and exclusive access to resources.
- Producing films and organising exhibitions, shows, workshops, and masterclasses to showcase and nurture talent
- Publishing magazines and newsletters to keep artists informed, inspired, and connected to opportunity
- Developing art education programmes to teach and create new artists—so that culture thrives in every community

We offer guidance on work-related concerns and entitlements for artists and technicians, as well as legal advocacy and collective insurance.
We amplify the voices of artists, technicians, and workers in the culture and entertainment industry, thereby influencing governments and industry decisions that significantly affect their lives.
